INTRODUCTION:
West Limerick Resources CLG are seeking proposals from suitably
qualified individuals/ organisations to develop a 5-year strategic

Development Company administering a range of Government and EU Funded
Programmes

Our work is guided by principles of equality, empowerment, working in
partnership and accountability.
We provide a range of supports and services to individuals and
communities primarily across West Limerick with a particular focus on
rural development and social inclusion actions.
We are a member of the Irish Local Development Network (ILDN) and work
in partnership with many different agencies and organisations as part
of our work at local level.
CONTEXT:
West Limerick Resources CLG, as a Local Development Company, currently
administer the following core publicly funded Programmes:

* Social Inclusion Community Activation Programme (**Apply on the

* Rural Social Scheme (Ongoing)
* TUS (Ongoing)
* Jobclub (Rolling Annual Contract)
* Primary Health Programme for Travellers (Rolling Annual Contract)
* Limerick Volunteer Centre (Rolling Annual Contract)
* Social Farming (Rolling Annual Contract)
Since its establishment, West Limerick Resources CLG has seen
significant change as a constant feature of its operating environment.
Ongoing changes in national policy, regulation and resource
availability have all impacted on how the Organisation has evolved and
developed since **Apply on the website**. The roles and priorities of
many of the key Statutory Agencies including Local Authorities have
changed and this has impacted on the relationships and interaction WLR
has with them. Communities too have experienced significant change in
the social, economic and environmental issues that impact on them.
To date, the Organisation has successfully responded to the various
challenges presented arising from change. The Organisation has
continued to develop its capacity and expanded the range of programmes
delivered and services provided to the individuals and communities of
West Limerick.
While some of our key programmes require development and
implementation strategies as part of their application process, the
Company wish to focus on developing a Strategic Plan for the Company
rather than for any individual Programme.
